SWCRS Event Participation Waiver and Release of Liability

READ CAREFULLY — THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT

Liability Waiver and Release of Claims

For purposes of this agreement, Southwest Community Radio System (SWCRS) refers to Southwest Community Radio System (SWCRS), a trade name (DBA) of Tucson GMRS Association, Inc., including its officers, directors, members, volunteers, event organizers, agents, landowners, and participants.

I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in activities associated with events organized or facilitated by SWCRS, including but not limited to:

• camping events
• outdoor gatherings
• radio operations
• volunteer activities
• equipment setup or operation
• vehicle travel to and from event locations
• use of shared tools or equipment
• other associated activities

These activities may take place in remote outdoor environments and may involve inherent risks.

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in SWCRS activities may involve risks including, but not limited to:

• uneven or hazardous terrain
• wildlife encounters
• weather exposure and environmental hazards
• campfires or fire-related risks
• vehicle travel on unimproved or remote roads
• use of tools, antennas, towers, cables, radios, or other equipment
• actions or behavior of other participants
• limited or delayed access to emergency services or medical care

I acknowledge that these risks may result in personal injury, illness, property damage, or death.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of the State of Arizona, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue SWCRS from any and all liability, claims, demands, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to:

• my attendance at
• participation in
• travel to or from
• or involvement with

any SWCRS event or activity.

This release includes claims arising from ordinary negligence but does not apply to conduct that cannot legally be waived under Arizona law.

Personal Responsibility

I acknowledge that SWCRS events are volunteer-organized community gatherings.

I understand that:

• SWCRS does not provide professional supervision, safety services, or medical personnel.
• I am responsible for my own safety, equipment, transportation, and preparedness.
• I will exercise reasonable care and judgment while participating in activities.

Equipment and Vehicle Responsibility

I acknowledge that I am responsible for the safe use of any equipment, radios, tools, antennas, or vehicles that I bring or operate during SWCRS activities.

I agree that SWCRS is not responsible for:

• damage to personal property
• loss of equipment
• vehicle damage
• mechanical failures
• accidents occurring during travel to or from events

Media and Photography

I grant permission for photographs or video taken during SWCRS events to be used for documentation, club communications, or promotional purposes.

Electronic Signature Agreement

By signing below, I acknowledge that:

• I have read this waiver in full.
• I understand its contents.
• I voluntarily agree to be legally bound by its terms.
• My electronic signature is intended to have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
