TRASH Radio Online on Lemmon

We are happy to announce the successful deployment of a new amateur radio repeater on Mt. Lemmon. The new repeater hardware was sponsored and installed by SWCRS, and is part of the TRASH Radio Network, where it is fully managed and operated by the TRASH team under callsign W7FED – it is their first repeater in Arizona, expanding their coverage area into Tucson and surrounding areas.

The repeater is open to all licensed amateur radio operators: 443.200Mhz+ PL 100.0

Many of our GMRS regulars from all over New Mexico hang out on this network, hence we were more than happy to be asked to be a part of it here in Tucson. A big thanks to Lance WRKC705 / KG5LGA for getting us in touch!

SWCRS extends its thanks to the TRASH crew for their continued dedication to maintaining a robust, lighthearted, and technically solid network. We’re excited to support infrastructure that helps operators connect, learn, and serve — whether for fun, experimentation, or public service.

  1. Happy to hear this! Thank you Dave and crew for everything that you do for the system and the hobby! You rock! 👍👊

  2. If you only hold a GMRS licence, you can still listen to get a feel from this linked network. Really cool community. Good motivation to get your ham ticket and open up new avenues of communication. Bravo!

AI rewrite: “With a GMRS license, you can monitor this fascinating ham radio network and experience its vibrant community. It could be a great reason to pursue your own Amateur Radio license and unlock even more communication possibilities. Excellent!”
