SWCRS Southeast Hub Update
Cochise County GMRS Repeater – Sierra Vista, Arizona

After more than a year of planning and coordination, the Sierra Vista 550 GMRS repeater has been successfully relocated to Mule Mountain in Cochise County. The new site, at an elevation of 7,280 feet, represents an increase of more than 2,600 feet over the previous location, resulting in a significantly expanded RF coverage footprint.
Performance testing has confirmed reliable reception across a broad area, including north of Benson, the Parker Canyon region, St. David, Douglas, and throughout the Sulphur Springs Valley.

We extend our sincere appreciation to KWRB 90.9 FM for generously providing site facilities and tower space. Their support was essential in making this relocation possible.

This project was a collaborative effort involving several key contributors. Chris Radicke (N7TWW) of the AZTRBONET DMR Amateur Radio Network traveled from Phoenix on two occasions to assist with site preparation, as well as final installation and testing. He also completed the tower and antenna work. Additionally, David Adriaanse (K6DSA / WQVS960), SWCRS Lead Technical Guru played a critical role by supplying the repeater and expertly assembling and programming all system components.

The SWCRS Southeast Hub GMRS user community is deeply grateful for the dedication, expertise, and support that made this successful relocation possible.
